What’s been happening:

David Vallin is the Buyer of Consumer Electronics for West Chester, PA-based QVC, Inc., one of the largest multimedia retailers in the world. The Consumer Electronics business is one of the fastest growing merchandise groups for QVC. There are five categories within Consumer Electronics group: televisions, video, audio, automotive and telephones. Mr. Vallin, 41, joined QVC in November, 2004. Since that time, Mr. Vallin has grown the revenue of the Consumer Electronics business by over 78%. Prior to QVC, Mr. Vallin has held several management positions in marketing and brand management of consumer products as well as merchandising and store-line retail, each with industry leading companies. From 1997 to 2004, Mr. Vallin served in several positions and business/operating units with Sunbeam Products, Inc. Mr. Vallin served in the following units: Corporate Development, Global Consumer & Brand Marketing, Sunbeam & Oster Appliances and Oster Professional Products. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Vallin held two positions with Sharp Electronics Corporation: Assistant Product Marketing Manager, Audio and National Sales Trainer, Consumer Electronics Group. From 1989 to 1995, Mr. Vallin held several positions of increasing responsibility in corporate and store-line merchandising for Macy's East. Mr. Vallin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication and Business from The Pennsylvania State University. He is also a graduate of Executive Training Program of Macy's East, "the Harvard of retailing." Mr. Vallin resides in Berwyn, PA with his two children.
